NOTICE AND SUMMARY OF ADOPTED ORDINANCE NO. 753 which was introduced at the City Council meeting of July 16, 2013, and adopted at the Regular City Council Meeting of August 6, 2013, by a roll call vote. Full text is available in the City Clerk's Office, 13325 Civic Center Drive, Poway, California (858) 668-4530. ORDINANCE NO. 753 entitled, “AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF POWAY, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTERS 5.02 AND 17.28 OF THE POWAY MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH EXEMPTIONS FROM THE PAYMENT OF APPLICATION AND RENEWAL FEES FOR BUSINESS CERTIFICATIONS AND HOME OCCUPATION PERMITS FOR CERTAIN VETERANS AND ACTIVE-DUTY MILITARY BUSINESS OWNERS.” This proposed Ordinance would adopt the exemptions and would only apply to business owners who are serving on active-duty in the military, naval, or air services of the United States, and every spouse or registered domestic partner of a person who is serving on active-duty and every person who is honorably discharged or honorably relieved from the military may conduct a business with a permit issued pursuant to this chapter without payment of any fee.
