CITY OF POWAY NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Poway will hold a Public Hearing to consider the following item: Variance (VAR) 14-006 and Minor Development Review Application (MDRA) 14-021. A request to construct a 2,662-square-foot, attached addition to an existing single-family home located at 12831 Avenida La Valencia, within the Rural Residential C (RR-C) zone. Also, a request for a Variance to allow the addition to observe a 27-foot front yard setback where 40 feet is required. The proposed project is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as Class 1 and Class 5 Categorical Exemptions, pursuant to Sections 15301(e) and 15305(a) of the 2014 CEQA Guidelines, in that the project involves the construction of an addition to a single-family dwelling on an existing legal parcel located in a residential zone and the front yard setback variance will not result in changes in land use or density.
